What regions do you cover for street lighting services?
We operate from our headquarters in Chelmsford, Essex. We possess the resources to manage street lighting projects across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Suffolk, and Hertfordshire.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance for existing street lighting networks?
We offer comprehensive maintenance and component replacement services. Our experienced team can identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise downtime. This includes the replacement of outdated or faulty lamps, lanterns, photocells, and other essential electrical components.
Are your staff certified to carry out highway electrical work?
Yes. W&H Romac and all our operatives are fully registered with the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS). Furthermore, we are a Gold member and a registered member of The Highways Electrical Association (HEA).

What types of traffic signs and bollards do you install?
We supply and install a comprehensive range of traffic management signage. This includes large and small directional signs, standard and passively safe signposts, illuminated and non-illuminated signs, traffic bollards, and solar-powered signs.

What is included in your private cable network services?
We provide an end-to-end service for all associated private cable network requirements. Our capabilities include the excavation of trenches, installation of high-quality cable ducting, professional cable laying, secure jointing, and final electrical connections.
Do you manage the final connections to the local power supply?
Our certified electricians manage all necessary electrical connections with precision. We handle private cable jointing, terminations, and final connections to the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) supply or private power pillars, followed by rigorous testing and commissioning.
Can you fit new LED lanterns onto our existing lighting columns?
Yes. Where existing columns are structurally sound, we provide professional lantern replacement services. Our operatives safely remove and dispose of outdated lanterns, install modern LED units onto your current infrastructure, and configure the new system to meet precise illumination requirements.
